The famous cockroach races began in 1982 at the Story Bridge Hotel, sparked by a friendly argument between pub regulars about who had the fastest roaches. They tested the validity of their claims in the carpark and so the annual event begun. 

All proceeds going to this years selected charity, Spoke to a Bloke.
